Journey of the week- second week of January 2016
Please send a healing journey for this week.
We enter journey space through a hollow maple tree, emerging from a large root. The ground is sloping down and away, and you curl up and roll down the slope. As you roll, you shape-shift into a large stone, and continue rolling right into the river. You sink to the bottom of the deep pool several yards downstream from a powerful waterfall. You rest on the rocky bottom in shifting translucent light that filters to the depths of the pool. Time passes. You observe shiny fish suspended as if weightless in the water above you. You see bear’s powerful limbs, claws and underbody as he swims across the river. Deer and horse, fox, all creatures of this place come to drink. You are aware of crow flying above the water, making noise. You feel the energy of the night creatures, the moon and stars filtering through the water. You take it all in. You are one with all of it.
The river’s current rushes over you without ceasing, dissolving you particle by particle over many seasons, many years. After all particles of stone have been worn away and washed downstream, you are left as pure spirit. You, as a bubble of energy allow yourself to be carried on the current. You journey through many landscapes; open prairies, thick woods, farm fields, orchards. You flow into larger streams as they join and merge with rivers. The waters become wider and deeper as you continue your travels. Now you enter a river delta, the waters spread out with a powerful pull, and flow in many streams toward the sea.
You are carried to the ocean. You merge with all that is, with the sunlit infinite waters, expanding into oneness. You rest here for eons. You become one with the ocean in all its guises, the calm depths, the wind tossed surface, the wild crashing waves. You are all of this.
Now, your spirit begins to roll, collecting particles, forming a new stone. You are washed up on a rocky ocean beach. A girl comes collecting beautiful things, and picks up the stone that you have become. You are a beautiful, lined with stripes. She takes you home and has the stone polished, the rough edges smoothed away and buffed to a high gloss. The girl wears the stone around her neck as a pendant. She grows up, marries, becomes a mother, then a grandmother, then a great grandmother. She wears the stone all her life. Then she dies and her spirit is released. Her body is cremated and her ashes released to the ocean. Her stone pendant is returned to the ocean as well, to wear away once again over the centuries until only spirit remains.
It is time to return to ordinary reality. Your spirit separates from the stone and merges with vulture, soaring near the shore. Together, you fly back to the gathering place and re-enter the hollow tree root that is the way back home.
Thank you to all guides, helpers and power animals that brought this journey to life.
